The limerick is from the heart, not randomly drawn like cards. Loved you too much, having felt your touch. Leaving it to the past is hard.

Contagious my love was, no one knows how it’s caused. Unsure if it’s infatuation, the only wish is to give you protection. Hardly stable inside, I can only have my fingers crossed.

Days have passed, life moves on. Having forgotten my heart was torn. Missing you and wishing for your calls, who would ever think it was all. Affection has once blossomed, died, and reborn.

Waking up, holding a pen I wrote. Wasn’t ordered or told, Doubting my feelings stay. To let it remain, I’m willing to pay. For you, the girl I once loved.
